A bold move to cater to religious citizens: BKB's initiative is designed for those who, for religious reasons, prefer not to earn interest on their savings. The bank acknowledges the significant demand from devout citizens nationwide, who wish to save ethically without compromising their beliefs. But here's where it gets intriguing: the bank will cover all government and bank charges, including excise duty, on behalf of the account holders, ensuring a truly interest-free experience.
The fine print: The scheme has a minimum deposit requirement of Tk25,000, with no upper limit, and tenures ranging from one month to three years or more.
